The problem with searching yourself
A matrimonial search takes months, and most of it is repetitive. Filtering the same lists, sending interests that go unanswered, following up, keeping track of who said what. For working couples, for parents who are not comfortable online, and for families abroad in an awkward time zone, that work rarely gets done consistently.
The searches that stall usually stall for that reason rather than because no suitable person exists.
How assisted matchmaking works
You set out your requirements once: denomination and parish, education and profession, family background, location, and anything that matters particularly to your family. An adviser then works the database on your behalf and comes back with a shortlist of verified profiles that fit.
You review the shortlist and decide who to approach. The adviser handles the introductions and the follow-up, so the search keeps moving even in the weeks when nobody in the family has time for it.
The same verified database
Assisted matchmaking draws on the Chavara Matrimony database of over 1 million verified Christian profiles, built since 1996 by Chavara Family Welfare Centre in Cochin under the CMI congregation. Every profile is checked before publication.
Registration is free. Create your profile first, and you can add assisted matchmaking afterwards if you decide you want it.
What it does not do
Assisted matchmaking shortlists and introduces. It does not decide for you, and it does not push a match because it suits the service. The adviser brings profiles that meet the requirements you set, and you say yes or no to each.
It also does not replace the family conversation that follows. Once both sides are interested, the alliance proceeds the way it always has, between the two families.
If you would rather search yourself, the ordinary free membership gives you the same verified database and the same profiles. Assisted matchmaking exists for families who want the searching done, not for families who enjoy doing it.
